Design and development of Mogano VI (MOteur GAz Naturel EurO VI)
CUSTOMER PROBLEM
As part of a project run by the Lyon Urban Trucks & Bus industrial competitiveness cluster, and in partnership with IRECLYON, Electrifil, LMS and Ecole Central de Nantes, CRMT developed a high-power Euro VI engine.
CRMT SOLUTION
The company developed this demonstrator from A to Z, from defining the specifications to validating the concept, including developing the system architecture, pre-validating the concepts and carrying out functional tests. CRMT also had to optimize the various engine parameters for optimum results: ignition, combustion, air loop, engine control and post-processing.
THE PLUS
This project enabled CRMT to develop expertise in SCR-type NOx catalysis (residual CH4 reducer) for lean-burn engines.
