How does the BioCNG retrofit work?

As part of a BioCNG coach retrofit, the conversion process is carried out in two main stages. First, the diesel-related components are removed, including the engine and aftertreatment system, the AdBlue tank and associated components, as well as the fuel tank. In the second stage, the BioCNG components are integrated into the vehicle: a latest-generation CNG engine, a new aftertreatment system, a high-pressure gas circuit and CNG fuel storage tanks. This approach helps extend the service life of coaches while actively supporting fleet decarbonization.
